The Role As a Mechanical Project Manager / Estimator with Gateway you will manage day-to-day operations of projects including manpower, sub-trades, material procurement, site meetings, billing and quality control as well as estimate changes You will also estimate Prime Mechanical projects. You will interpret tender documents, mechanical systems and applicable codes and complete a quantity survey manually or on the Quickpen system. You will procure quotes from subtrades and suppliers. You will transfer your quantity survey and subtrade quotes to an Excel spread sheet. You will insert labour factors and material costs as required to the same Excel spread sheet. On successful tenders you will communicate the project requirements and scope of work to the Gateway Team. Skills/Requirements You possess a minimum of 5 years experience as a project manager / estimator in a commercial construction environment. Formal education in construction / project management is a plus. You will have experience with the Quickpen Mechanical Estimating Program as well as manual take-off experience. You have exemplary leadership and communication skills with an aptitude for problem solving. You will have experience with Microsoft Office Products. You will have your own transportation. You are a results oriented leader who excels in a busy and fast-paced environment. Formal education in construction project management and, or a CCA Gold Seal Certification an asset. You will get hands-on experience with diverse products, service key accounts within an assigned territory and learn the fundamentals of the business, customers and product lines. While this position includes servicing existing clientele, the sales person's primary focus is territory development by pursuing new HVAC, Refrigeration, Electrical & Plumbing customers. This individual would provide estimates for service repairs and smaller construction jobs as well as quoting and presenting maintenance agreements. Ideal Candidate You are a high energy, results oriented, self starter with a proven track record for success!! The ideal candidate for this role will have superior knowledge of technical products and services in one of the following areas: Electrical, Plumbing, Refrigeration, or HVAC. Experience in Electrical Sales would be a great asset. You are committed to providing outstanding customer service and conduct yourself with a high degree of honesty and integrity. You must be computer literate and have a good understanding of office related software and contact management software.
